About Us

Our Foundation

Preamble

Aware of the legal provision which regulates the activities and operations of Civil Society Organizations in Uganda, cognizant that the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda guarantees freedom of association of its citizens, committed to building an Organization capable of counteracting children’s challenges of the present and the future, while deeply concerned about the prevailing socio-economic challenges in our country, and empathetic that not all people have the will and zeal to work on such challenges. We hereby establish this Constitution and Bylaws in order to fully realize God’s purpose of life by restoring hope of children especially those that are facing life tormenting situations in Rubindi sub-county, Mbarara district.

What We Aim To Do

Our Objectives

  1. A

    To equip children and youth from poor orphaned and disadvantaged backgrounds with quality basic education through vocational and life skills trainings for self-reliance.

  2. B

    To raise psychologically sound, spiritually upright, economically empowered and emotionally intelligent children and youth in communities for sustained livelihoods.

  3. C

    To provide basic needs especially to orphans and vulnerable groups including but not limited to: food, clothing, shelter, education, spiritual and emotional support.

  4. D

    To promote best farming, business and livelihood practices and value addition for communities to improve household income.

  5. E

    To promote and develop spiritual empowerment to children and youth and provide counseling and guidance to traumatized and psychologically affected children and youth.

  6. F

    To do any other thing that is consistent with and concomitant with the above objectives.

Legal Framework

Our Legal Powers

  • Acquire, manage, and sell property for charitable purposes.
  • Employ staff, raise funds, accept restricted or unrestricted donations.
  • Borrow money for objectives; enter partnerships with churches, NGOs, government.
  • No income or property is paid to directors (except legitimate expenses approved by AGM).

Liability (Article 6)

Liability lies equally with the Executive Director and all board members.

Dissolution (Article 7)

Upon winding up (by 60% special resolution), any remaining property shall be retained by the founding proprietor or transferred to another charitable body.
